I did the same thing, except my rails are moved by hand. When we finished our basement I was adamant that we would be able to use a full sized cue on all areas of our regulation sized 9 foot table. With the drywall we were just a few inches short. So I had our builder install industrial rollers on the floor and mounted the table on them. If you look at the picture you can see the front roller between the table's legs. It works beautifully. The balls don't move at all and you can get the shot you want anywhere the ball lies.
