It is CIS but of course there were several variants or versions of Bosch CIS. They all work similarly but are also each unique in one way or another.
I've started to do the work to re-animate this sleeping beauty, so far no bad surprises. I removed the valve cover and it looked like this, think the PO changed the oil very often?
I changed the timing belt yesterday, the one in the car may have been original w 32k miles, (second photo is new belt):
Engine turned easily by hand after I squirted some ATF in each spark plug hole. Fuel tank was empty, or at least as empty as someone could get it. Fuel pump is toast, getting a new one tomorrow or Monday. Fun little project, I'll try to update this thread.
