I recently reset my computer and basically put the motor on light load driving around town and a short freeway run keeping the motor under 3k.
Having a obd 2 scanner really helps while doing it as you can see the various tests pass as you do them. There are 5 tests total, but you only need 4 to pass in California and you can basically do it in one afternoon.
