3.6 swap

There is no guide for something like this,.but its not that big a deal. The motor does not bolt right in,but 84 to 89 911's are nearly identical in the engine bay.The biggest issues will be fuel line modifications, throttle linkage and supplying power, mounting 3.6 specific modules. But again, all the stuff you need to get started is already on your 84.Another possible issue could be crank sensor clearance on your 915 transmission. But it should be minimal seeing that 84's and 89's both have crank sensors, and 915s if I remember correctly. If you need more help, feel free to email me at rg3po@comcast.net.Oh,I'm a fulltime greasemonkey by the way,and of course Porsche lover.I stumbled on your thread looking for DME info for 996's.Ciao/Arrivaderci?Roy
