I've owned a Charter Arms Bulldog Pug since the mid 1980's. Mine is in .44 Special. It's a decent quality revolver, but certainly not of the quality of a Colt, Smith, or Ruger. Like most things in life, "you get what you pay for". I do use it as my carry gun at times, so I guess I do "stake my life on it", for whatever that's worth. It has proven to be surprisingly accurate for a little snubbie, so there is that as well. If you can ever find one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
