Yep. Your car has gone WAY up and his car has gone WAY down. That would have been a real sucker bet, had you gone for it.
The bottom line is that anyone following you down the road or showing up on your property uninvited asking about your car is a predator and is not your friend. They should be shown the way out, immediately. A young lady I know recently acquired a nice black 993 coupe, I had to give her "the talk" about being aware of anyone following her home, predators, etc. The car was a gift and she had no idea that this was even "a thing." Sad world we're in.
