I thought I would tackle my Dad's desk light. The on/off switch gave up and I sourced another from the manufacturer (Dazor in St Louis).
It's a two lamp florescent fixture with each bulb wired independently, as are the twin ballasts.
Here's what lamp wiring looked like in 1945 - lots of wire nuts and Bakelite switchware.
Bought a new pencil type soldering iron and set to work.
Lots of wires.
Good for another 66 years.
