Here is a very large and detailed study on complications in hospitalized Covid patients.

I am not going to summarize it in detail, but TL;DR is that the rate of complications is quite high, complications include renal cardiac neuro, and since things like renal damage do not go away quickly, Covid is likely to be an additional burden on our medical system and population for some time to come.
