You sir are a good man and well done! I've had my card rejected (from fraud detected in another state), but it was prior to getting fuel many years ago, and another card was already being sent. Since then, on a couple of occasions, I've received an automated phone call asking if I made a purchase in SF or some other city. The fraud detection/rejection has really improved in recent years. I only use a debit these days.... not a cent has ever left my account due to fraud.
And WF does truly suck, but that's another matter entirely not related to cards
