It goes beyond 'Britanny' with the right of a wealthy famous woman-child to ruin her own life. Or not.

I've heard of some professional conservativeship-judicial cartels establishing control over the elderly after a cozy relationship with the court. Even those with competent and caring children. Everything gets transferred into some trust which is stripped bare within a few years leaving the parent to the state.
