my friend's mom has the BEST Korean Kalbi recipe. it is heads and shoulders above the rest. for decades we have been trying to get her recipe. nope. we get the standard, "i dont measure anything" or "its different all the time".

okay. i gave up and thanks to the internet and nice Korean lady at the K-town grocery store, i have cobbled together a damn good one. it is badass and i would love to let my friends mom try it. (one day)

anther lady refused to give me her chocolate cake recipe, but in her defense she was trying to get some huge company (starbucks?) to buy her cake..i get that. i have since lost track of her and her cake. damn. but i understood her hesitation.
