Smokin engine
1976 targa sportomatic.
The car has been in a garage for 6 years and without too much problems I have got it running, however when I first got it running within 20 seconds clouds of white smoke would come out of the exhaust and through the heater vent , only on the right hand vent.
Now it takes about 4-5 mins and the same thing happens. The engine sounds solid with no knocks or rattles.
The oil pressure guage reads midway at about 60 but the other oil gauge starts at midway and then within 1 minute goes up to the top.
Could it be a vent or oil pressure relief valve?
Any thought would be appreciated.
