I think you do get use to the heat and humidity. Just look at those who live in the tropics. We were in Hong King in the dead middle of summer two year ago. My kids and me included were melting and did not want to move. It was freaking horrible. We were riding in this tram that's been around over 100 years built by the British. No AC, standing room and the seats are small, unlike our N American bus seats. I notice a woman with a full on office suit buttoned up to her chin in an over coat and a brief case standing in front of us fully composed and comfortable. My wife and I wanted to tear our skin off even though we had only shorts and tee shirt on. I told my wife that this woman has a full face of make up and she looked great. She had to feel the heat but I can only think that sheisn't too comfortable neither.
