with the chip shortage affecting auto manufacturers production currently i might be concerned about them using components that are available, but not up to the task for the long term.
on the discount aspect my sister and bro-in-law bought a toyota tacoma a few month back and had to pay way above MSRP just to land the thing. they were in a pinch and needed something due to her audi tranny taking a dump so were prepared to pay the extra entry fee as to not be down to a single vehicle. not a good time to be looking for deals unless it is an older 2020 the dealer has around, but id also imagine those are being snatched up due to lack of 21 model availability.
