The government coerces folks all of the time-ie the draft in times of war. I have no problem with 'pays your money and takes your choice'. If you want to put personal risk over collective risk, that's your prerogative. But in any society there are social norms, and we don't individually get to choose what they are. So you can live within the norms, and reap the social benefits, or live outside them and forfeit the benefits.
Since when is anyone so privileged to reject the social contract but still accept all of the benefits?
I am not making an intellectual judgement about anyone's choice not to get the vax. They may be smarter than I am. But there is enough intelligent thought on the other side to make the social decision to allow vaxed people more freedom than non vaxed to be an acceptable norm. You may disagree, and I'm fine with that. I'm fine with Amish. Some of them are crazy smart. They don't criticize my way of life, they just reject it and go their own way.
