OK, that makes sense, you and the computer travel for the job. It is a logical reason. My laptop is really my "company laptop" and I use it on photo missions. We have two laptops that are pretty much the same. Mine is the backup in case the regularly used one has a hiccup or dies.
My business partner has two GIANT killer laptops that would burn your lap if you tried to put them on your lap. And your legs would loose circulation from the mass of the laptop. They have twin video cards, and multiple hard drives, and huge displays. They can process the aerial photo missions in a decent time for smaller projects.
