The CDC certainly has some authority, BUT, they can't just decide that to prevent the spread of disease everyone with a house and spare bedroom has to let some homeless family move in rent free. Allowing someone to stay in a house rent free is no different. The CDC can't tell us that we have to let someone else use our cars to keep them off the buses.

The CDC may have some authority, but that do not have the authority to commandeer private property.
