Its a buyers market for a change. Hopefully he will find what he seeks on his terms.
My own son left a job, had an in hand offer, but turned it down cause he didnt want to commute. Ended up living on savings for nine months but landed something closer to what he wanted. Had a nice 9 month vacation and only loss is having to replace some savings.
I wouldn't have had the balls, but it worked out ok for him.
