My shoes take such a beating. Years ago i picked up a pair of cleats at a garage sale and iv been wearing them ever since. Other sport shoes with a smoother bottom also work well but i like cleats for yard work and hiking. But they hold up way better than regular shoes and dont leak as fast. Which is very important in the winter and wet season as we have mud everywhere. I dont liek boots too heavy and hot and uncomfortable. Ofcourse i have regular shoes for going out. They are also getting pretty old they are a pair of vans i bought new in 2006. The front and back of the souls are down to the ribs occasionally i super glue a bicycle tube on the edges to prolong the life because they are still in good shape on top
