Yep. Folks with money are going to pick the bones like buzzards. It's not just renters who are going to suffer - actually they may suffer the least as they have some government relief. Small landlords who are trying to build portfolios will be bought out by the more well-healed and put out of business.
But with so many people out of work over the past, year, even if you evict for non-payment who are you going to get to replace them?
I've never been in the position of having non-paying renters, but I don't see how eviction is any panacea for the problem in a down economy such as we have experienced over the past year and a half.
But that's capitalism for you.
