I didn't watch.

And at the end of every F1 race (a real sport) ESPN cuts away to televise some silly game. Sometimes a basket ball game from the 1980s or a replay of a game from last year.
Tag is just as much of a "sport" as any of the other silly games ESPN televises. Any game, played with a ball, be it a golf ball, marble, or basketball is just a game, it is not a sport. That of course, includes the games with cards, chess, checkers, or played with a puck like hockey.
Watching adults play tag, or hide and seek is no different than any college football game or the world series. Just watching men (or women) play a game NOT a sport is boring to me. Millions of people spend lots of money to watch. Not me.
