BUT... that could be that the dry acreage has already been burned up. (so to speak) IOW, when so many of the 80+ crowd has been pushed over the edge there is only the younger (more resilient) population getting infected.
In the coming years, expect many fewer deaths in the upper age categories from things like heart attack, cancer and all the rest.

Covid has picked the low hanging fruit off of the geriatric tree and that will be obvious in a few years.
