Hi, I attempted to remove the rubber injector seal on Cyl #4 with exacto knife and narrow blade. The blade ran into metal about 8-9 mm below top of seal . I removed about 30 degrees of the top - larger diameter seal to discover that the sheet metal holder for the injector (and seal) actually narrows at that 8-9 mm below the top. so would probably hold the injector seal in place. makes sense, but then if I cut the rubber off above that sheet metal ring, the narrower diameter at bottom of seal will fall into intake valve area - not good!

I also noticed that with a section gone, that the sheet metal injector support of about 22mm diameter appears to have a lip of perhaps 0.5 mm on inside diameter, that could be what is blocking removal of the seal, although I also suspect that the smaller diameter part of the seal is also larger than that diameter of sheet metal that is below the top part of seal.

I suppose I will get a new seal, and do investigative destruction to determine what exactly I am facing to remove these seals.
