You should disassemble the clutch connection on that end, and inspect the cable closely.

Also remove the wood pedal cover and inspect the pedal assembly area carefully. That big of a whack might have cause the pedal box mounts to move a little. Check if the pedal assembly moves freely and in the proper alignment. You might need a body shop or an long time mechanic that is familiar with 80s 911s to check it out.

Hopefully it is just the transmission end that has the problem.

And I would ask a body shop to check on welding that hole up. Maybe file an insurance claim.
