The guy, Jethro, is cool. Great driver/ EVO writer, top gear US guy, nothing wrong with him (well name excepted - Jethro ??? Really? you know the parents were into the band or something)

Or major Beverly Hillbillies fans!
Some of the many hours of chit chat with the announcers was actually entertaining and interesting. Some of the announcers had some really long on air times. They were as tough as the drivers.
I recently went to a track day at Eagles canyon, near Decatur TX. We had 8 - 25 minute sessions. I was driving my street car, basically stock 1985 911 and there was no pressure, no racing, just have fun nad let others in modern cars pass, with a wave by, laid back track fun. Twice after 25 minutes I was exhausted, and ready to just get off the track anyway when the checker flag was waved. 25 minutes at speeds of a old street car and no pressure whatsoever to race wiped me out. I honestly can't imagine 4 hours of real racing at real race speeds, at night, with the real tangible pressure to go fast, and pass the competition, and not let the competition pass. Just beyond comprehension of my mind.
