Replaced the in-tank fuel inlet screen on my '76.
PITA job, mainly because you must start with an empty tank.
FWIW, when the indicator needle is half way between 1/4 tank and the 'reserve' warning light - there is still 5.5 gallons in the tank.
PITA, also that I had to make my own 22 mm allen wrench.
(I later saw one on Amazon for around $10.00 + S+H. A couple of reference threads here said they were not available - but they are.)
Now I sleep at night knowing that 45 years of accumulated crap (20 years of that span sitting in a garage) is no longer in the inlet stream.
