It's cool if you can get someone to lay eyes on it for you but for a long distance purchase, I'd recommend a PPI from well regarded Porsche shop or the dealer. I almost bought a 997.2 up in San Jose a couple of years ago, (5 hour drive), and had a PPI done before driving up.
