My doctor had one and was at the races at Sebring back in the 60’s. At some point he decided to go home and when he got to his car, the windshield was missing. There was a note attached saying they would return it, as soon as the race was over. It was signed by Carol Shelby.

Very cool, a buddy use to own one, he had a personalized plate "Real One ".
After he sold it, it was stolen and evidently found in a container that was going to be shipped to Japan. To make things more interesting another one appeared with the same vin number. So law enforcement flew him out to California to identify his old car.
I've loved Cobras since I got a Hot Wheels version as a kid.
