At my high school a few of the "cool" boys carried one in their jeans rear pocket and worked on getting the faded outline to show up. I thought that was the dumbest thing ever and no dad anywhere would let you near their daughter with that wear pattern on your jeans.
One of my good friends owns a pharmacy and I get my prescriptions there. He has been in business almost 50 years and seen a lot of customers. He raised two daughters. He loved when some pimple faced boy came in a tried to ask for a prophylactic, and try to pronounce that in a quiet tone. He would speak in a normal voice and ask if they wanted small medium or large and their eyes always got big, and they always asked for the large.
