I would tie some of that green tape you have there around the broken part to keep it tightly bound to itself. Just propping it isn't going to keep the air out, which the plant cells will react to and close up so they won't be able to heal. We had a peach tree when I grew up that had about three different kinds of peaches grafted onto it.
