I cannot see the damaged branch in your photos, so hard to say.
If it's just a minor crack, there's a chance, so no harm done letting it sit and see what happens. This time of year is at least favorable for tissue healing.
Even if you cut it off, the plant won't miss a beat. It will simply generate another branch.
