Some tattoos have a deep meaning for the person getting the tattoo. I'm all for that. I don't have any tattoos myself.
There are probably far, far more tattoos out there by folks that either want attention or want to be different like everyone else they know or have an issue and are trying to push people away/shock people/turn people off.
I think they are better if there's some meaning, but I've seen plenty of tattoos that look cool.
I do prefer if the tattoo can be exposed or hidden. It seems like a better idea to get one in a place that would normally be hidden by clothes but could be exposed by the right clothes or when desired.
