i would buy all new tires and start from scratch. i did it with my current toyota and the tire guy told me there were several tire plugs in my bald tires. hahah.. the temp plug type.

a prius tire has to be about $125 each right? its like a lawnmower tire! for $500 i would start fresh. just me. my wife rides with me. i'm not giving her ammo to nag me in death.

Cheap tires are probably fine 99.9% of the time until you need to perform an emergency stop or evasive maneuver to avoid an accident. Then when you really need not just good tires, but great tires....
