I like all four tires to match, scratch that, I wouldn’t run four tires that didn’t match.
Six years doesn’t sound like a tire is too old to most people but I no longer run tires until they are worn out. After five years, they are on borrowed time with me.
I would buy two new matching Douglas tires.
I don’t have any experience with them but I once threw some General tires onto a daily driver Audi and was shocked how good they were. The guys at the Tire Rack clued me in, they were essentially a Bridgestone tire with a different name on the outside. Bridgestone had bought General and was trying to bring it up-market somewhat. They were killer tires for a daily driver and only $400 for the set. The Goodyear/Douglas relationship might be similar to that.
