It's like telling people to get a tune up for their car to save gas or to put air in their tires to improve fuel mileage and or increase their very own safety.
Very few will hear the call (
selective hearing), fewer yet shall respond and do something.
In the example David provided, someone had to spend money in order to save money, this can often be a hard sell. Most of our client are already sold or interested in renewable, they are just seeking to optimize with us.
I'm working for a renewable energy consultant firm (
engineering/installation/maintenance) in Michigan now, they order and buy PV panels for their clients so their clients can to finance the project as a single bill.
Making things easy is what it's all about - it's about convenience. This is why lights and faucets turn themselves on and off automatically these days.
Something so simple apparently is inconvenient.
