Way back in 1971 (when I was 23) I found this car in the classified ads section of the Los Angeles Times. Model year 1966 911, golf blue, 30K miles on the odometer in flawless condition. It was a 1965 build with Nadella half-shafts, Solex "overflow" carbs. Love at first sight, paid $3500 to the original owner, a Beverly Hills lawyer. Of course in those days these cars were somewhat routine. I drove it to work and college everyday and parked it outside at night. The photo shows skinny me washing it out in front of the house where my wife and I lived in 1973. We eventually sold the car a few years later moved on to other interests but the memory of that one lingers on. Of course I should have just kept it!
