And, to add to that point, it’s not like I’m saying that viruses won’t mutate in an unvaccinated population. Of course they will, they all do. We are nearing what, a couple thousand mutations of the stupid thing already? The point being, that some people are making, is that vaccines may play a role in increasing the number or severity of the mutations.
The other thing is that there are so many more variables other than simply considering vaccination status. People around the globe have different climates, different immune system effectiveness, different patterns of living, a million other variables. The day that we have makes it difficult to separate one factor from all of the others.
I think we’ve handled this pandemic completely backwards. We should not have ever locked down like we did, we should have protected the most vulnerable and focused on early treatments. I think the entire vaccination program is misguided and is going to end up biting us in the ass.
