"These vaccines don't prevent infection, they protect against disease"
Another "how does that differ from polio or smallpox" question. The smallpox vaccine didn't prevent infection. Like the covid vaccine it created an immune response so the body could effectively fight severe infection.
He goes on to say that the vaccines weren't supposed to be administered in the heat of a pandemic. So with that in mind, how do we stop the pandemic without massive loss of life? When is the time to administer the vaccines? When the pandemic is over? Before the pandemic starts (the vaccine wouldn't exist)?
He's talking about the vaccines "driving immune escape". The problem is, he was talking about this back in March and at that time to present there's no evidence supporting vaccine induced immune escape.
