My dad was a cop before and for a bit after I was born. My mom was an ER nurse. I'm sure I'd enjoy a motorcycle, but my better sense keeps me off of them.
I've heard stories of guys with body parts that looked like hamburger meat mixed with gravel and crap from the road. I was told that they take a fairly stiff brush to scrub the gravel and road crap out of the meat. That doesn't sound like much fun. I don't entirely trust myself to not do something foolish, but on top of that, the drivers in Houston are some of the worst that I've ever run across in the US. No way in hell I'd ride a motorcycle around here. If I did ever ride a motorcycle, I'd be fully kitted up which sounds freakin HOT in our weather.
