If you would actually read up on the flu there was little flu spread throughout the entire world.
The flu is not nearly as transmittable as the original strain. The precautions used to slow the spread of covid actually decimated the flu's ability to spread. Social distancing, masking, increased hygiene, working from home, school closures (a major cause of flu spread), and increased world wide flu vaccinations all combined to basically eliminate the flu.
