Interesting that the article that Steve linked wasn’t focused on a fatality rate, rather a healthcare system that is at a breaking point. Here in NorCal the county I live in announced today that there are no icu beds available in our county. Looks like I’ll be foregoing that motorcycle ride to the coast this weekend. Maybe I’m living in fear as you call it but should a deer run out in front of me or a distracted driver rear end me, I’d like to know there would be a bed for me in the icu should I need it.
