Me and the Mrs. are contemplating doing the kitchen over, its been over 30 years since I did the kitchen when we moved in. There is a real good chance that we will be moving closer to our daughter after I retire in about 1˝ years. Therefore I do not want to sink a ton of money into the kitchen.

I am in the construction business, industrial and municipal plumbing and mechanical work so I do not do any residential work and am not really familiar with current trends. I have looked on YT and online and narrowed down what we are looking for.

I think Ready to Assemble cabinets would be a good idea. I used to build cabinets and furniture as a hobby years ago and am fully tooled up so assembling is not a problem. Plus I have a pool young strong guys at the ready to help.

I want to replace the cabinets in kind and hopefully reuse the granite countertops that my wife loves.

So what say the BBS brain trust? Who has done RTA cabinets and any recommendations as to where to purchase?
