As indicated by the CDC publication, up to 78% of severe COVID occurred in patients with high, or very high BMI. And worse yet, this is not new information...yet it’s been mostly ignored throughout communication with the public at large. Meanwhile, obesity in America stupidly heads in the wrong direction. Can lives be saved by educating children and adults on this topic?
My daughter's Phd thesis was on Childhood Obesity. She would sit in a doctor's office and hand the volunteer parents of children an ipad with the prearranged questions. One of the findings was that overweight parents of overweight kids did not recognize that their children were overweight....
