All valid points, sure. But the reality is he's a very capable guy and she is quite a lightly built female. The odds are stacked against her. I don't think she is a princess who wants a hotel room each night. She's spent quite a bit of time on the road and sleeping in the van. I suspect it was an argument that escalated into a fight, and him being much stronger won the fight killing her in the process. And instead of manning up telling the truth he dumped her body disrespectfully in the wilds somewhere.
