I think walking is great, if you just want to keep your weight down and get the blood pumping. When we were in Asia, a couple years ago, We were walking up to 4-7 miles daily yet, we ate like pigs. Loads of carbs, rice and noodles were eaten daily with different varieties. My wife is on the skinny side to begin with, we lost weight at the end of the month. If I ate like that back home, without exercise, I would have gain another 5 lbs in 30 days.
