Friend of mine had a place with an old metal roof. He had this rattle can paint he put on it, 95% zinc he says, seemed a bit implausible to me, but that place was old when he got it and the roof always looked good. He should have sprayed that stuff on his Chevy with the Swiss cheese bed. He painted the roof using a truck with a lift bucket.
Metal roof is loud in a hail storm, I have seen them peeled off by wind, though if the wind is blowing that hard I am thinking what sort of roof you have would not matter
