We had one put in 23 years ago. Lots of tree debris here and the roof hasn’t noticed. I sweep and clean roof and gutters once a year.
Main parts of Roof are steeper than 1:3 and I can barely climb it when dry. Any water and pollen makes surface frictionless. Get extra d rings installed, can’t have too many.
It’s noisy in the rain, we were worried but love the sound.
One year a heavy wet snow released at once and crushed some stuff next to the house and tore off the gutter.
Most important part of metal roof is proper flashing, make sure it’s done right, overlapped well with a place for water to go.
