This same situation happened with the Mitshubishi Evo vs Lamborghini's and Ferrari's.
I'm not sure La Ferrari buyers will wish they had the four door.
They wanted a two seater with style and flare.
There was a Pagani with a manual transmission out at an airport speed run.
There were some comments on a youtube video about how slow the driver was with the car compared to much less expensive current model Porsches.
Owner commented that pressing go with electronic do-dads wasn't his interest.
Yes a less expensive electronicly launch controlled Porsche with electronically controlled gearbox was clocking faster than his manual Pagani without launch control.
Didn't matter, he had what we wanted, and was having fun with it.
It will be interesting to see what gets developed for faster launch control.
The power is there.
The software and AWD to apply it to the tires is the hot rod of our day.
Tires have also been advancing on many fronts in recent years.
