It would be interesting to see how this would work with different dog breeds. I speculate that Goldens have a great personality but may not be all that bright (the "dumb blonds" of the dog world) so other breeds, based on my and my family's experience would be:

Dachshund - Would chew up any of the items standing in its way, and few extras just to make a point...

Border Collie - Would try to rearrange the items, e.g. to better group the similar sizes and shapes...

Basset Hound - Would lie down on one side and look mournful as if to say "why are you doing this to me...aw, to heck with it..."

Great Dane - Would just step over, and look at you as if to say "Whaaat?"
