All the top teams used them in Grand Am Contintental Tire GS class racing, including 3 championships with Rum Bum and BGB Motorsports. When the 997 was retired and replaced by the GT4 Clubsport, demand dropped to zero.
PCA club racers rarely built 997 Carrera racecars because they had the Cup Car available to them and building a 997 up from scratch wasn't competitive against the Caymans in GTB. Pretty much only ex-Conti cars are seen in the PCA these days unless it's a Cup.
